Pamela's story

Kiva community! Meet Pamela, a 33-year-old single mom. She is very hardworking, honest and humble. She hails from Bungoma, Kenya, an area that is blessed with world-renowned runners and excellent weather patterns that favor farming activities. Pamela has been farming for the past few years and has provided them with all their basic needs. She practices mixed farming, both growing crops and raising animals, and through these two activities, she has been able to support her family. She still faces challenges, which is why she wants to diversify and begin poultry farming so that she can make ends meet and meet the market for poultry in her area. She is seeking a loan to buy poultry. Pamela has experienced difficulties in acquiring funds to start her poultry business, but she now feels relieved knowing that Juhudi Kilimo is partnering with Kiva to support hardworking women, helping them to be economically empowered and able to realize their dreams. She is really grateful in advance for your help and contribution.
