A loan helped to purchase farm inputs such as high-quality seeds and nutrient-rich fertilizers.

Caroline's story

Caroline is a 38-year-old woman farmer. She lives in Kericho with her family and has been involved in remote farming for the past few years. She has learned a range of new farming practices that improve sustainability, enhance resilience, and are likely to be helpful in adapting to climate change.

Her main sources of income include milk and crops. In the modern world, agriculture has become exceedingly dynamic, therefore making the kind of inputs that are being used in the sector today much better.

On this note, there is a need to use improved farming inputs for effective production. These include high-quality seeds and nutrient-rich fertilizers. Caroline has learned that Juhudi Kilimo has intervened in the activities of rural, smallholder farmers and is giving them financial support in the form of loans to enable them to access income-generating assets as well as farming inputs.

Caroline has requested a loan from Juhudi Kilimo, which she will use to purchase farm inputs such as high-quality seeds and nutrient-rich fertilizers to boost her crop yields.
