Asaph's story

Asaph was born from a family of eight children in Nshumi Kyamuhunga. The family was very much involved in tea farming. He struggled hard to study, which was not easy, and he ended up at only senior two.

Being an innovative person, he joined tea farming to make income. It has been through savings and his agricultural projects, especially tea farming, that he has been able to buy more land for crop growing. His major sources of income currently are tea and banana farming.

He has been in UGAFODE and obtained several loans. Currently he is seeking a loan that he needs to purchase manure and mulches for both tea and banana plantations, respectively. He hopes to produce more than 5,000 kgs of tea in the next few years because he has passion for activity.
