Caroline's story

Caroline is a 42-year-old mother of three children who are in school. She is a cheerful and enthusiastic person who enjoys and appreciates her life and having a family. Caroline works hard each day and puts all of her effort into her farming business. She is a small-scale farmer from Eldoret, a rural town known for crop and dairy farming. For the past few years, she has been actively involved in mixed farming. Her primary sources of income are derived from milk and maize. Caroline sells her crop produce at a nearby market and also to neighbors. She has been making positive strides.

Although she practices crop and animal farming, she has not been making good profits because of poor farming inputs. This is why she is seeking a loan to buy farm inputs, such as seeds and fertilizer, to improve her crop farm. With this loan, she will be able to purchase high-quality seeds and good fertilizer, which she will use to improve her crop production. Modern farming requires the use of modern techniques, so high-quality seeds will assure her of a bumper harvest and increased profits.

Her dream is to support her aging parents and her children. Caroline hopes to have the understanding and help of the lenders. Her dream is to build a modern house. A loan will move Caroline’s dream closer to reality. She expresses her thanks in advance.
