Rosa Antonia's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy bed sheets, trinkets, notebooks, and other products to sell.

Rosa Antonia's story

Rosa Antonia and her family live in Portoviejo, a city that was affected by an earthquake on April 16, 2016, and now by the COVID-19 pandemic. This city is rich in its production of vegetables, legumes, and tropical fruits for domestic consumption.

Rosa Antonio has a small bazaar and stationery shop at her house where she sells a variety of products such as notebooks, ball-point pens, pencils, and catalog products made by Avon and Yanbal (beauty products, cosmetics, perfumes, and women’s accessories). She also has a sewing workshop where customers can bring clothes to be altered or mended. Due to the social isolation at the start of the pandemic and the fear of getting sick, Rosa Antonia was not able to work, but now she is following biosafety protocols.

This loan will be used to buy bed sheets, trinkets, notebooks, and other products. Her dreams are to see her family avoid illness and to continue growing her business.
