La Patience Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to stock up on pagnes and other bulk clothing which will strengthen her initial capital.

La Patience Group's story

Ms. Yvone, 56, is a client of the microfinance institution Hekima, and president of the group 'La Patience'. The photo only shows the group leader due to Covid-19 social distancing measures.

Yvone is married and a mother of three children — one goes to school and two have finished their education. Her partner is unemployed.

She has been selling clothes since 2001 with the startup funds received from her husband. Later, she was involved with the Hekima program to support her business, during which time she continued to develop her business.

With this new loan, Yvone is going to stock up on pagnes (colourful fabrics) and other clothing in bulk which will strengthen her initial capital. The challenge in this business is late delivery of goods.

Yvone would like her child to continue studying, and she wants to develop her business. Finally, she wishes to thank Hekima and their partners for their support towards non-bankable entrepreneurs in the context of the Covid-19 global crisis.
