Butseme Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy coal, oil, corn flour, cassava and rice, which will strengthen her initial capital.

Butseme Group's story

Germaine is a client of the microfinance institution Hekima and represents the village group "Butseme". She is 32 years old, married and has four children who all go to school. Her husband is a driver.

Germaine started selling food in a restaurant in 2015 with starting funds received from her husband. Later, she joined the Hekima program to support her business and it grew progressively. With this new loan, she is going to buy coal, oil, corn flour, cassava and rice, which is going to strengthen her initial capital. Her business is not facing any challenges.

Germaine would like to keep her children in school and to be able to feed her family. Finally, she wants to thank Hekima and its partners for their support of non bankable business owners in the context of the global health crisis. The photo only shows the group leader due to social distancing measures.
