A loan helped to buy rice, meat and other groceries to make food to sell in her store.

Sangeurn's story

Sangeurn is 43 years old, married and the mother of a child. She sells food. Her husband is a construction worker, and her child is a factory worker. She has been running her business for 13 years.

Sangeurn has applied for a 3,000,000 KHR loan through Kiva's field partner Chamroeun to buy rice, meat and other groceries to make food to sell in her store. Using the loan, she will be able to earn more income to continue her business as well as to support her family's living standards. She hopes that she can grow her business, renovate her home and send her child to school. Her main challenges are more competitors and insufficient capital.
