A loan helped to purchase more goods such as rice, drinks and edible oil.

Regina's story

Regina resides from the town of Batuan. She operates a sari-sari (variety) store, in which she sells commodities like noodles, milk, sugar, rice, seasonings, soap, shampoo and assorted canned goods. She is a widow and has four children, of whom one is still attending school.

This time, she has decided to increase her purchasing power to cope with the high cost on basic goods, which has limited her ability to cope with demand. Therefore, she has decided to avail herself of a loan and use it to purchase more goods such as rice, drinks and edible oil. With the presence of these items, she can maximize her resources, enabling her to maintain the flow of her merchandise. Thus, she can start to save and possibly invest in her business to become successful.
