Kunduz's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase sugar seeds.

Kunduz's story

This lovely woman is Kunduz. She is 47 years old and married, raising 4 children. She has a high-school education. By her nature she is kind and caring. She has been raising crops and animals since 2005 as the primary source of income for her family. Thanks to her hard work and her husband's help with the farm, her farm currently has 6 cows, 12 sheep, and 2 horses. She has a contract to supply organic beets to a local plant for further processing into sugar products. This allows her to continuously invest in her agriculture business.

After finding out that as part of the Value Chain offering she could get a loan at Bai-Tushum Bank secured by her contract for future shipments, she applied for a loan of 135,000 som (KGS) to buy sugar beet seeds to increase her beet sales. Payments for the sugar beets from the Plant will be transferred directly to Kunduz's bank account, and loan payments will be automatically deducted. Income from the loan will help her grow her farm further.
