01_Saly Carrefour Group's story

This Banc Villageois was launched in April 2010 and is composed of these two brave and dynamic women who work in commerce. They live in the same neighborhood and maintain a good relationship. They have repaid a number of loans successfully.

Madame Ndoumbé is 62 years old and is the representative of the group. She is standing on the right of the photo in a green dress. She is a widow and a mother of 8 children who are all adults, but she is responsible for one of her girls who is still a student. She has three grandchildren.

Madame Ndoumbé is in the business of fabrics, shoes and food products. She buys her products wholesale in a neighboring country across the border and in the south of the country and sells at home in her neighborhood.

She has been working more than 11 years and has great experience in her sector. With this loan she is going to purchase 6 sacks of groundnuts, 20 buckets of groundnut paste, 4 sacks of baobab fruit, 4 sacks of dried hibiscus flower, and two sacks of dried beans which she will sell with the help of her children. She does well because she has a good customer base. The profits will allow her to save and take care of family expenses.
