Robert's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase more spare parts for resale.

Robert's story

Robert is 43 years old and lives in the town of Kabuusu in the Makindye region of Uganda. He is married and has 4 children who are all currently in school. For the past 10 years, Robert has been working hard to manage his retail shop, which sells motor spare parts.

To help expand his business, Robert has requested a loan of 4,000,000 Ugandan shillings from BRAC Uganda. The loan will be used to purchase more spare parts for resale, and will help Robert to generate greater profits and save some money for taking his children to good schools. Robert hopes that in the future he will be able to expand his business into a bigger spare part shop.

Robert is a member of BRAC's Small Enterprise Program (SEP). The program primarily serves small entrepreneurs like Robert who do not have enough collateral for commercial loans, but have businesses that have grown too large for microloans.
