Marilyn's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy toiletries, snack foods, canned goods, noodles, eggs, spices, drinks, and RTW (ready-to-wear) products.

Marilyn's story

Marilyn is a resident of Concepcion, Iloilo. She is 55 years and married. She runs a sari-sari (variety) store, selling basic commodities. She has been in this business for many years. Meanwhile, her husband works as a laborer to provide for their family’s need.

She is asking for a loan of PHP40,000 through Kiva’s field partner CEV, (A Microfinance NGO) in the Philippines which she will use to buy assorted grocery items like toiletries, snack foods, canned goods, noodles, eggs, spices and drinks. The rest of the loan will be used to buy RTW (ready-to-wear) products.

She wants to be successful in the future for her family’s future.
