but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy quinoa.

16 De Marzo Cha Group's story

Juana is 64 years of age, the mother of eight children, and a widow for ten years. She works selling quinoa, which she has done since she was young. She learned the business from her parents and siblings, to generate income for her family.

She will invest the requested loan in the purchase of quinoa in the communities, because at this time of year, the producers sell their product, to hire people to do harvest work. She will increase her business with a profit margin, thus helping her children. Her business is the primary source of income for providing for them.

There are only three people in the photo, because social distancing is necessary due to the pandemic. On the left, in the pink jacket is Juana, the president of the communal bank. In the center, in the lilac sweater is Genny, the treasurer. On the right, in the black jacket is Angela, the recording secretary.
