Kosal's story

Kosal, age 36, is married and she lives with her family in the Angkor Borei district, Takeo province. She is a farmer and has been working in the agriculture business for many years. Kosal and her husband are considering the challenges of low yield due to pest and disease attacks on cultivated crops. With a poor level of mechanized agricultural activities, product processing and storage in order to meet these necessities becomes of crucial importance. Agriculture produce is an essential demand and means of survival for her family members, as it plays a great role in almost all aspects of life. She can earn approximately of USD 5 per day to support her family's living needs and save some money for future needs.

Currently, her house doesn't have a safe latrine, so she cannot provide a sanitary latrine for her family members. She is requesting a loan to build a safe latrine at home. In this way she hopes to increase the value of her home and improve sanitation, ensuring healthy living conditions to safeguard the health of her family and protect the environment.

With the support of this loan, she will be able to purchase construction supplies such as bricks and cement to build a safe latrine and pay for labor costs. She believes that through her hard work and perseverance, she will be able to attain a better standard of living someday.
