Akonkwa Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to stock up on 9 bags of beans, which will reinforce her starting capital.

Akonkwa Group's story

Madame Jeannette is a client of the Hekima microfinance institution and oversees the Akonkwa groupe villageoise. She is a widow, 40 years old, and the mother of 4 children that are all in school.

She sells beans and has been doing so since 2010 with funding she received from her older sister. Later, she joined Hekima to support her business, which she was steadily growing. A new loan will help her stock up on 9 bags of beans and reinforce her starting capital. The challenges she faces in her business are due to debts that aren't paid.

She would like for her children to continue their studies and she wants to buy some land. Lastly, she would like to thank Hekima and its partners for the support they provide to owners of small non-cash-converting businesses, especially in the context of the COVID-19 global crisis.
