Judith's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy farm inputs to expand her production, enabling her to make more income to support her family.

Judith's story

Dear lender, your loan can play an important role in spreading love around the world this season. Meet Judith, who is 46 years old and lives in Kitale, a town where the main economic activities include agricultural processing. She is a mixed farmer who has been farming for many years. She is seeking a loan to buy farm inputs such as fertilizers to help improve her crop farming.

The major impediment to the development of smallholder farms in Kenya is the lack of short-term credit facilities. Juhudi Kilimo, in partnership with Kiva, is working hard to support smallholder farmers in Kenya by providing financing, therefore guaranteeing their survival.

Judith is optimistic that Kiva lenders will support her during this time when the world is struggling to combat COVID-19.
