Serah's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy a wheelbarrow, water pump, vegetable seedlings, fertilizers and marketing trays for her farming business.

Serah's story

Serah is a 50-year-old woman. She is a widow with five children and they live in a rural community outside Honiara, the capital of Solomon Island.

She has a garden where she grows root crops, vegetables and cabbage that she can sell at the market to earn a living. She has been in this business for one year.

Serah has requested a loan to pay for an additional wheelbarrow, water pump, vegetable seedlings, fertilizers and marketing trays to assist her with her farming activities.

She plans to use her profits to provide financial support for her family and grow her business.

She joined SPBD in 2021 and this is her first loan.
