04-Proyecto Nayanaka Group's story

The 04-Proyecto Nayanaka communal bank, part of the Villa Copacabana Office, is made up of eight members who are friends and run by a board of directors of which Katherine is the president. The loan they're getting will benefit small business entrepreneurs like Katherine.

Currently she has a business renting place settings and tablecloths for social events and seminars. She said she learned this business on her own initiative. She started with small birthday teas and expanded the business.

The loan she's getting now is to buy glass display cases for decorations that she'll get from the wholesale vendors in the city of La Paz then sell and rent in her sales stall.

This type of job enables her to earn an income. She's 38 years old and single, and she has one daughter. Her goals are to grow her business and to help her daughter with her studies.

Note: There are three people in the photograph. The whole bank wasn't photographed because of social distancing during the Covid-19 health crisis.
