Nemfis Afrodita's story

Nemfis Afrodita and her family live in Portoviejo, a city affeted by the April 16, 2016 earthquake and now by the Covid-19 pandemic. The city is rich in production of vegetables, legumes, and tropical fruit for domestic consumption.

To cover her expenses and part of the expenses of her family, Nemfis Afrodita works selling sheets, duvets, and pillow cases. Previously, she walked through various sectors of the city, displaying and selling her wares. Now she only sells in her house, where her clients come to buy; they pay weekly. She also sells via WhatsApp with delivery to homes. Her sales have declined and still have not recovered. During this worldwide crisis, she has had financial difficulties. Her clients cannot pay because they have become unemployed, and others have died. The health crisis at first was very bad for her because she could not sell, but now she gradually is reactivating to continue generating income.

This loan is to buy sheets, duvet, and curtains in various colors, designs, and sizes. Her dream is to have a shop with much merchandise and that her family will have good health.
