Abigail's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy more slippers to sell.

Abigail's story

Meet 30-year-old Abigail from Liberia. She has two children. They are schooling and live at home.

Abigail is a high school graduate. She deals in a business selling slippers, a business she has managed for four years, and she describes herself as a strong businesswoman.

Her sister gave her money to start the business, and her uncle taught her how to sell.

She has no problems with her business and uses a car to transport supplies at her business site. She sells six days a week from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm.

To increase in business, Agigail applied for a loan through BRAC Liberia, a Kiva field partner, to buy more slippers to sell in order to further build her business.

She likes her business because it helps her a lot. In the future she wants to build her house and give her children a better living condition.

She sends thanks and appreciation to Brac and the Kiva community for their support.
