A loan helped to restock her grocery store.

Laisy's story

Laisy is 54 years old, married and is the mother of one child. She sells groceries and other beverages. Her husband is a soldier and her child is a factory worker. She has been running this business for 2.5 years.

Laisy has applied for a 2,500,000 KHR loan through Kiva's field partner Chamroeun to restock her grocery store. Using the loan, she will be able to earn more income to continue her business as well as support her family's living standards. She hopes that she can grow her business, renovate her home and send her child to school.

Her main challenges are more competitors and insufficient capital.
