Sol Brillante Group's story

The "Sol Brillante" communal bank, as part of the Uyuni agency, is composed of nine members. It's managed by a board of directors, of which Berna is the President.

Berna is 30 years old, lives with her partner, and has three children. Currently, she have a business selling cereals. Before the pandemic, she worked in tourism, but without a doubt, now she's changed her economic activity.

The loan that she's taking now will be to expand her merchandise through the wholesale purchase of dried cereals, such as rice, noodles, and corn, which she'll buy from the wholesale vendors. Later, she'll sell them at her sales location.

This kind of work enables her to earn income to support her family financially.

Her aspirations are to enlarge her business and have more income, to have her own house, and to let her children study so they can become professionals. Note: There are three people in the photograph. A group photo wasn't taken because of social distancing during the Covid-19 health crisis.
