Merry Sylvie Loris's story

Merry Sylvie Loris lives in an urban district which is situated about a 10 minutes walk to Port Vila city. Her community is small, and the main industries are service and food. Although Covid-19 has impacted Vanuatu's tourism ecomony, it has been alright for one to earn income.

Merry Sylvie Loris is 29 years of age and has two beautiful children ages 10 and 6. She has her partner, who is unemployed but supports her with her business by helping her wherever he can. She lives with her mother and children in a small shanty house located in a community compound.

Merry Sylvie Loris has requested a loan to help her purchase a bag of kava, which she will stock up on so she can produce certain kilos of kava juice for her customers. She wants to be able to provide the best kava juice for her customers, which will enable her to attract more customers. This will help increase her revenue, which she will use to save up so she can pay for a piece of land for her family to build their own home.

South Pacific Business Development (Vanuatu) Ltd. has helped Merry Sylvie Loris for over a year now, and this is her second loan. She repaid her first loan successfully in a timely manner. Through her loans, Merry Sylvie Loris is motivated to make her business grow so she can improve her family's living conditions.
