Annie's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase building materials and natangura thatch to renovate her kava bars and better provide for her customers.

Annie's story

Annie is a 45-year-old mother of 4 grown children, aged 25, 24, 21 and 20. She is happily married, and her husband is self employed and supports her in her business. She lives with her husband and children in their home, which is located about a 10 minute walk from Port Vila City.

Annie's community is very small, and the main industry is service and food. Vanuatu's main hospital is situated in the city, as are two local primary schools. Earning income has been possible despite the Covid-19 pandemic.

Annie has requested a loan to purchase building materials and natangura thatch so she can renovate her kava bars, which will better accommodate her customers. She wants to make sure her customers are comfortable when having a shell of Kava for relaxation.

Annie has been in this business for over four years. She dreams of providing a clean environment for her customers during the Covid-19 pandemic, and of renovating her kava bar to become permanent.

This is Annie's fourth loan with South Pacific Business Development (Vanuatu) Ltd. She has successfully repaid her previous loans on time. Through her loans, she is empowered to expand her business so she can become a successful entrepreneur.
