A loan helped to buy crates, guinea pigs and grass.

Mariana's story

Mariana, 64, lives with her husband in San José de Chabayan. She and her husband have worked their entire lives in agriculture. Her advanced age no longer allows her to perform demanding physical labors, so Mariana has started a business raising small animals as a source of income.

Mariana is soliciting a loan to buy wooden crates to separate baby guinea pigs so the bigger animals do not harm them. She also needs to buy more breeding guinea pigs and grass to feed them. In this way, this noble woman hopes to continue working and supporting herself in her later years.
