Mujeres Defensoras Group's story

Women's communal bank Mujeres Defensoras is in their first loan cycle. It consists of 15 members that are all very satisfied working with the Fundación. The group sticks strongly together. They are from the area of Santaní and its members are dedicated and responsible women.

One of the members is Mirta. She earns a living from selling from home cheese and milk she produces. Mirta is grateful for belonging to the group as this will allow her to keep improving and growing and she will be able to provide a better quality of life to her family.

She is asking for this loan to buy feed for her animals in order to continue with her production and job.

Note: There is only one person in the photo but this is a group loan. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic it wasn't possible to take a group photo without a gathering of people.
