Los Libertadores Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy groceries and to improve the floor that is outside of her little store, as can be seen in the photo. She wants to place flooring so that her customers feel comfortable.

Los Libertadores Group's story

Los Libertadores is a communal bank comprised of nine members and led by Adit, who is the president and represents the communal bank. They are going for their fifth cycle, and they are happy to continue getting ahead.

The group has a board of directors that represent the communal bank. In the photo you can see Adit, the president; Adela, the treasurer; and Lady, the secretary. Due to the pandemic, the photo was taken of only these three.

Adela, the treasurer, has three children. She lives with two of them who are now adults. For over eight years she has been selling groceries at the front part her own house. She sells rice, sugar, milk, eggs, candy, and other products.

She is requesting her loan through Kiva in order to continue investing in her grocery business. She will buy products in order to be stocked, and so that her customers will find variety. Also, she wants to improve the ground that is outside of her little store. As can be seen in the photo, outside the store is dirt. She wants to put down flooring so that her customers feel comfortable.

In the near future she want to improve the roof of her little store so that it looks better. Also, Adela prepares and sells food in the afternoons. She has a mototaxi that she rents. With this she has better earnings, and she manages to live comfortably.

Her goal is to have a restaurant because she considers herself to be an enterprising woman with a great desire to get ahead.
