Virgen De Guadalupe Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy school supplies like notebooks, pencils, erasers, markers and some candy to offer to the public.

Virgen De Guadalupe Group's story

The Virgen de Guadalupe group is made up of eight members. This is their 36th loan cycle. They are long-time group, united and very responsible.

The board of directors is represented by the president Neyda who is a member and a leader along with the secretary Sharon and the treasurer Martha. As you can see in the photograph only these three are representing the group, a precaution due to the pandemic.

Martha is 45 years old. She has three children, two are adults and the youngest is 8 years old and lives with her. Some time ago she decided to open a store in the front part of her house. She sells everything, that is to say a small well-stocked store that offers groceries, drinks and includes school supplies, meats like chicken and snacks.

At this time, as classes have started for the children, she is requesting a loan through Kiva to buy school supplies like notebooks, pencils, erasers, markers and some candy to offer to the public and meet their needs.

Her partner has his own vehicle and he works doing transportation in their city. Besides this Martha sees herself as a humble, hard-working and very loving person with the desire to continue to improve and grow her store.
