A loan helped Purchase construction materials to build a wall.

Maritza Edinora's story

Maritza Edinora G. C., age 40, has two children ages 18 and 14. She lives in the Colonia Mazarela in Juticalpa, and she is a member of the Brisas de Mazarela Solidarity Group. Eight years ago, she used to sell undergarments as a street vendor, but for the last two years, she has run her own computer repair and parts business with her husband. She changed businesses in order to better attend to her family, and she now works from home and over the telephone.

Maritza will invest this loan in building a wall. She will purchase the following construction materials: cement, iron rods, bricks, cinder blocks and tile. She will also pay for labor.

With the construction of this wall, the atmosphere of her business will improve, and her family will be safer. Her goal is to one day own a store, and she hopes that her children will become professionals. Ever since she has been a member of FAMA, she has felt more useful because she can help out with the family expenses through her business.
