Salote's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy mulberry for her tapa making business.

Salote's story

Salote is a 29-year-old mother to her two children. She is married to a carpenter and they live in a little wooden house.

She joins a group of women, and once a week they gather and make tapas [a patterned cloth made from the bark of the mulberry tree], then sell them out to earn money for their families. Together they make different types and sizes of tapas, and Salote is helped by her mother in designing her tapas before selling them out. She normally sells them out locally to random customers with cheaper prices, but since last year she tried to sell it out to customers and relatives overseas.

A loan will help Salote solve her lack of materials problem by enabling her to buy mulberry with her loan money. She has a plan with her husband, and their plan is to renovate their house and build a new and better one.
