A loan helped to buy construction supplies for the renovation of her old house and to build a safe latrine.

Sarorn's story

Sarorn, age 41, is married and has three children. She lives with her family, located in the area of Krong Doun Kaev district, in Takeo province.

At home, Sarorn has been operating a small convenience shop, offering many types of products including grocery items, snack foods, sweets, powders, canned food, noodles, and miscellaneous household things, to local people in her community.

She makes a suitable income of 4.00 USD per day, from which she can cover her daily costs. Sarorn also raises some poultry, and sells to the local traders for additional income.

Her house is currently under renovation and she needs more materials to complete the work. Due to a shortage of capital, she is asking for a loan to buy construction supplies for the renovation of her old house and to build a safe latrine. One of the supplies she is requesting is zinc, as her current home is lacking proper roof coverage.

Sarorn hopes that with the help of the loan, she can provide everyone in her family with a suitable place to live and comfortable living conditions. With the improved sanitation, she hopes to increase the value of her home, ensuring better living conditions to safeguard the health of her family and protect the environment.

Sarorn believes that through her hard work and perseverance, she will be able to attain a better standard of living someday.
