Bertha Rosa's story

Bertha Rosa and her family live in Portoviejo, a city affected by the April 16, 2016 earthquake and now by the Covid-19 pandemic. The city is rich in production of vegetables, legumes, and tropical fruit for domestic consumption.

Bertha Rosa sells various products, such as clothing for women, men, and children; women's shoes; and wallets. She works three or four days per week. She travels through various parts of the city. She leaves her merchandise on credit and collects weekly.

Her sales dropped due to the health crisis because she could not sell, but now sales are picking up. This loan is to buy shoes, costume jewelry, wallets, clothing, etc. Her dream is to have a shop to continue selling, because that is what she enjoys doing.
