Esther's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to gain access to cost-efficient hybrid seeds and fertilizer for crop cultivation for this ever-smiling mom with a good credit history.

Esther's story

Esther (mom of two school-going children) is a 50-year-old woman who makes very important decisions in her work. She has farmed for the past many years. Esther has been supporting her family with the income that she obtains from her mixed farm. Like any other African woman, she wants to give her family the best.

Juhudi Kilimo’s partnership with Kiva is an effective tool for reducing poverty in Kenya, especially among women who are the central actors in the rural areas.

Esther is seeking this loan to buy farming inputs which she plans to use to improve her crop production and earn more income for her family. A loan to her will be a proper way of uplifting her during this period when the world is celebrating International Women’s Day.
