Darika's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy dairy cows in order to increase her milk sales.

Darika's story

This lovely lady is Darika. She is 45 years old, is married, and is raising three children. She has a secondary education and is warm-hearted and kind by nature. Darika has been raising livestock and growing crops since 2005. Thanks to Darika's hard work and her husband's help with the farm, it presently consists of one cow, 15 sheep, and two horses.

She has a contract to deliver organic milk to a local plant, where it is processed into dairy products. This permits her to put money back into her business on an ongoing basis. After learning that she could obtain a loan from Bai Tushum Bank, using as collateral the contract for future deliveries under a Value-Added-Chain arrangement, she has applied for a loan of 100,000 som (KGS) to buy dairy cows. Her goal in this is to increase her milk sales. The dairy plant's payments for the milk will be deposited directly into Darika's bank account, and the loan payments will be automatically deducted. The income generated by this loan will help the future development of her farm.
