A loan helped to purchase basic grains, rice, beans, sugar, oil, hygiene products, snacks and other merchandise at wholesale to sell.

Santa Teresa Group's story

Meet the entrepreneurs of the Santa Teresa Group, a communal association sponsored by Pro Mujer in Chinandega, Nicaragua.

Candelaria is in the middle, dressed in a pink long-sleeved blouse and jeans with her glasses on top of her head. She is 44 years old and is president of the association. For 15 years she has worked with Pro Mujer.

Candelaria is responsible and honest. Her husband is a construction worker. They have 2 children who they hope to see become professionals.

This new loan will be used to restock her general store, purchasing basic grains, rice, beans, sugar, oil, hygiene products, snacks and other merchandise at wholesale.

Each loan will generate the earnings needed to provide food, education, and living space for their family.

Please give her the opportunity to continue working in order to progress!
