Channy's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to support her agriculture business.

Channy's story

Channy is 27 years old, married, and has one child who's attending school. She lives with her family in the Kaoh Thum district of Kandal province.

Channy is a farmer who owns a few hectares of farmland on which she grows various crops, including rice and potatoes. The way she farms is still based on the traditional method.

To supplement the income from the farms, she raises and fattens poultry and sells them to local butchers. She is able to help her husband earn household income so that they are able to provide food, medicines, education, and basic living needs for their child.

Channy wants to improve her agribusiness and to upgrade her living conditions. During the rainy season, she has lots of farm work to complete and she also needs additional capital to pay for her operating expenses.

To help her agribusiness, she would like to borrow some funds from Kiva lenders. With this fund support, she can pay for plowing fees, labor costs, purchase fertilizers to care for her crops and supply for her ducks with feed.

She sends thanks to all lenders for donating their funds to help a poor farmer like her.
