08 -Kambeng Koussy Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase 'monkey bread', bissap, and sugar to make ice creams to sell.

08 -Kambeng Koussy Group's story

This 'banc villageois' was created in June 2009. It houses this group of seventeen women who are determined to improve their living conditions. The women have solidarity and mutually assist one another.

Ms. Souadou is the group's representative and appears by herself in the photo to respect the preventative measures in the struggle against Covid-19. She is 32 years old and the married mother of four children. She has three others to support.

With her new loan, she is planning to purchase monkey bread [the fruit of the baobab tree], bissap, and some sugar to make ice creams to sell. With the profits earned, she is going to put some aside as savings and to buy livestock. The rest will be for covering sundry expenses.
