Bakbu's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy livestock to increase her livestock-breeding income.

Bakbu's story

This lovely lady is Bakbu. She is a 64-year-old widow who is raising two children. She has a secondary education and has been rearing livestock and growing crops since 2000. This is her family's main source of income. Thanks to Bakbu's hard work and her children's help with the farm, it presently consists of four cows, 25 sheep, four horses, and a 0.87-hectare plot of irrigated land on which she grows organic beans.

In order to develop her business further, Bakbu is seeking Kiva's support in the amount of 150,000 som (KGS), to buy livestock. Her goal in this is to increase her income by breeding her herd. The income generated by the loan will help her expand her farm by boosting its headcount.
