Hannah's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy farming inputs that she will use to improve her production and support her family.

Hannah's story

Hannah, pictured above, is a 65-year-old mother of one child who lives in Eldoret, a town surrounded by prime agricultural lands which favor large-scale grain, dairy, and horticultural farming. She is a mother who has never tired of pursuing her dreams. She has been a mixed dairy and crop farmer for the past thirty years, which enabled her to support her family.

She is seeking a loan to buy farming inputs that she will use to improve her production and support her family. Juhudi Kilimo’s partnership with Kiva is an effective tool for reducing poverty in Kenya, especially among women, since Juhudi Kilimo is one of the central actors in the rural areas. A loan to her will be a proper way of uplifting her during this month when the world is celebrating women.
