Icyerekezo Tcb Group's story
Clementine is a 32-year-old mother with three children between the ages of 5 and 12. Her husband is a businessman. For the past 10 years, she has been selling foodstuffs. Clementine is the leader of the group named Icyerekezo TCB, which means “vision” in English. The group members sell different items and own a variety of businesses.
Clementine will use her loan to buy more bananas and plantains to sell in her community so that she can meet the demands of her customers. With the profit from her sales, she hopes to pay her children’s school fees and increase her savings. She is grateful for the support of the lenders.
Due to the global pandemic, Urwego was not able to photograph all of the group members. However, the photo shows one member who is representing the group.
