A loan helped to buy farm inputs to improve her production.

Christine's story

Christine is a 29-year-old mother of four children who are in school. She lives in Eldoret. Christine believes that with discipline, she is capable of attracting massive success. She supports her family through mixed crop farming and also from a personal business that she operates (as shown in the photo).

The COVID-19 pandemic posed a significant threat to the economy of Kenya, causing lots of uncertainty and disrupting food supply chains. Juhudi Kilimo, in partnership with Kiva, is on the frontline of combating this pandemic by supporting smallholder farmers and micro-entrepreneurs during this difficult period.

Christine is seeking a loan to buy farm inputs, which she will use to improve her production so that she can make more income to support her family during this global health crisis. A loan to her will lead to the empowerment of a woman as the world celebrates International Women’s Day.
