but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

Isabel Monserrate's story

Isabel Monserrate and her family live in Portoviejo, a city that is impacted by the 16 April 2016 earthquake and now by the Covid-19 pandemic. The city is rich in the production of vegetables, legumes, and tropical fruit for domestic consumption.

Isabel Monserrate, with her own effort, has a tailor shop in her house. She works making a variety of clothing for women, men, and children; these are tailor-made on request. She works every day to meet her customers' needs.

Her customers don't shop as usual during the health crisis. Her jobs have decreased and now she's reactivating little by little so she can continue to earn her income.

She's also selling products from Yanbal and Avon catalogues (beauty products, cosmetics, fragrances, and women's accessories). She works three days a week, two hours a day; she leaves her products on credit and collects payment weekly.

This loan is to buy jewelry, creams, deodorant, fragrances, fabric, thread, etc.

Her dream is to have a factory and for her business to continue to grow.
