A loan helped to use as a deposit on a new vehicle for her family and business use.

Malia's story

Malia is a 49 year-old mother of eight, and a wife of a farmer. They live with the remaining of their children at their own home, and her daughters help her with her business of sewing and crafts. Local and random customers hire her for their sewing, and she can sew different designs according to a customer's demands. She sews uniforms, car seats and curtains. For her craft business, she makes kiekie from coconut materials. Her two daughters help her with her kiekie, by braiding the coconut husks and many more. Malia has her own tent in the flea market area in town, where she displays not only her kiekie but also her sewing. Her business not only provides for their living but also repays her loan.

She is applying for a loan to deposit on a new vehicle for delivering her crafts and also for family use. Their next plan is to renovate their house, and Malia is working hard to achieve her dream.
