Venera's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy seeds and fertilizer to increase her income from plant agriculture.

Venera's story

This wonderful lady is Venera. She is 46 years old and married, and is raising 3 children. She has secondary education. As the primary source of income for her family she has been practicing animal husbandry and plant agriculture since 1997. Thanks to Venera's hard work and the help of her spouse, her farm currently has 13 cows, 10 sheep and 3.01 hectares of irrigated land on which she grows organic potatoes, barley, alfalfa and wheat. With the aim of further developing her farm, Venera is asking Kiva for support in the form of 200,000 somoni (KGS). This will be used to purchase seeds and mineral fertilizers in order to increase her income from plant cropping. The profits from the loan will help her expand her farm by increasing her headcount of pedigree dairy cows. It will also help fund her son's wedding.
