A loan helped to buy dairy cows to increase her cattle headcount and sales of organic milk.

Kalipa's story

The 60-year-old Kalipa is a widow with five children. She has a secondary education, and is industrious, goal-oriented, and enterprising by nature. She is well familiar with agricultural techniques and knows how to use resources for their intended purpose. She has been raising livestock since 1985, and this is her family's main source of income. Thanks to her hard work and responsible approach, she has been able to develop her farm, so that it now consists of 12 cows, 40 sheep, and four horses.

In order to develop her business further, Kalipa has turned to Bai Tushum Bank for a loan of 99,900 som (KGS), to buy dairy cows. Her aim in this is to increase her sales of organic milk and her cattle-breeding income. She is planning to put the income generated by the loan into the ongoing development of her farm.
