Zarina's story

Zarina is 34 years old and married, with 5 children. She has post-secondary education. In her nature she is hardworking, goal-oriented and entrepreneurial. She is well familiar with the technology involved in operating an agricultural business, and is able to invest funds as necessary. As the primary source of income for her family, she has been practicing animal husbandry since 2010. Thanks to her hard work and responsible approach to business, she has been able to expand her farm to have 10 sheep and 2 horses. She also has 0.48 hectares of irrigated land on which she grows corn and cotton. With the aim of further developing her farm, she has turned to Bai Tushum bank for a loan in the amount of 200,000 somoni (KGS). This will be used to purchase dairy cows with the aim of increasing her sales of organic milk, as well as her income from cattle breeding. She plans to invest the profits from the loan into the future expansion of the farm.
