Riteshni's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy building materials and the initial stocks of fruits, root crops and vegetables.

Riteshni's story

Home is where the heart is and for Riteshni, her home has been a haven for loving memories and an anchor in times of instability. Pictured in the living room, words cannot describe, nor can anyone fathom, the sad realisation her family wakes to each morning after Tropical Cyclone damaged her home in December 2020.

As a mother, Riteshni has had to be strong for her three children. She continues to motivate them and remind them it’s not the end of the world and that there’s always a silver lining in every dark cloud.

Taking matters into her own hands, Riteshni knows that the future belongs to those who prepare for it. Refusing to wait for handouts, the mother has decided to acquire a loan to make the repairs to her home and continue her business.

Riteshni needs to buy building materials for her home and her stocks of fruits and vegetables from farmers. Although she previously sold at the market, she has plans to oversee the repairs on her home and operate her business from home at the same time. It’s inevitable that she will have a customer base, as the residents and disaster responders need food that doesn’t require much preparation or equipment/cooking utensils.

By granting Riteshni a loan, you are helping her be an exemplary mother to her children, and a strong independent woman to her community who does not fear taking risks.
