Abadahemuka Cb Group's story

Samiyati is a 47-year-old widowed mother of four children, aged between 7 and 21 years old. For the past four years, she has been selling food in her community.

Samiyati is the leader of Abadahemuka Cb Group, which means “trusted people” in English. Group members sell different items and own a variety of businesses.

Samiyati will use her portion of this loan to buy more bananas [plantains] and Irish potatoes to sell in her community to meet customer demand. She hopes to use her profits to expand her business.

Samiyati is thankful for your support!

Due to the pandemic, Urwego was unable to photograph all group members. The photograph is of Samiyati, the group representative.
