Hawo's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to add inventory of fruits and vegetables in bulk.

Hawo's story

Hawo is a refugee from Somalia living in one of the locations within the Kakuma Refugee Camp in Kenya. She is also a skilled entrepreneur who runs a small grocery stall selling fresh fruits and vegetables. She is married with eight children and the stall has been the main source of income for the family to date.

Hawo is focused on growing her business, which she started in early 2013. The stall is currently in a stage that requires her to seek external financing to propel its growth even further.

She intends to use the loan to add inventory of fruits and vegetables in bulk so as to continue meeting the demand at the camp.

A loan to Hawo will allow her continue providing her community with a variety of fruits and vegetables for consumption while at the same time supporting her expansion plans for the stall.
